Mountaineer Food Bank Gratitude Bracelet
Mountaineer Food Bank (MFB), a member of Feeding America, believes in a West Virginia where no one goes to bed hungry…today or tomorrow. The Food Bank is the largest emergency food provider in the state of West Virginia serving families, children, seniors, veterans, and individuals at risk of hunger.
Annually, MFB distributes over 23 million meals to food-insecure neighbors in 48 of the 55 counties. We are led by our mission to feed West Virginia’s hungry and empower communities to end hunger.
Over 250,000 individuals in West Virginia are considered food insecure, meaning they lack consistent access to enough nutritious food to fuel a healthy life. To address this issue, Mountaineer Food Bank distributes food and other essentials to those in need through a network of more than 460 community partners. In addition, we also provide programs and services aimed at helping families and individuals at risk of hunger. These programs include the Mobile Pantry Program, Veterans Table Program, Child Hunger Programs, Senior Feeding Programs, Food for Health, and more.
